DLC SUPVA Performs Hawan to seek Blessings for the New Academic Year
The Induction Programme for the incoming batch of 2025–26 at Dada Lakhmi Chand State
University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA), Rohtak continued today with a
spiritually uplifting Hawan ceremony held in the open courtyard of the FTV Building. The
sacred ritual marked the formal commencement of the new academic session and served as
a collective prayer for wisdom, discipline, and creative growth.
Faculty members, administrative staff, and new students participated in the ceremony,
offering prayers for a harmonious, productive, and inspiring year ahead. Prasad was
distributed to all attendees, adding a traditional and festive touch to the five-day induction
programme.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Amit Arya, addressing the students after the ceremony, remarked, “We
believe that education in the creative fields must begin with humility and rootedness. This
Hawan is not just a ritual—it is a moment of reflection, grounding, and hope. Let it be a
reminder that your talent must always be accompanied by values and inner clarity.”
Registrar Dr. Gunjan Malik added, “This event symbolizes a fresh start, blessed by intention
and purpose. We hope our new students feel not only welcomed, but also aligned with the
deeper spirit of our university, where tradition meets innovation.”
The Hawan marks the induction programme that began on August 5th with addresses by
prominent media personalities such as Sh. Sumit Awasthi, Sh. Sandeep Chaudhary, Sh.
Harshvardhan Tripathi, and filmmaker Sh. Atul Gangwar, followed by visual arts exhibitions,
student performances, and interaction sessions.
With this, DLC SUPVA—a pioneering liberal arts university, has officially set into motion the
academic calendar for the year, reaffirming its commitment to nurturing artistic excellence,
intellectual curiosity, and cultural integrity.
